702 MILES TO FREEDOM

The Freedom House

South Sudan has the eight highest rate of child marriage in the world. Girls that are subjected to child marriage often times face sexual and domestic violence. Additionally. during South Sudans long civil war, conflict related sexual violence has become prevalent.

A lot of effort is being made to ensure that girls rescued from child marriage and other forms of gender-based violence are able to access education. While education plays a pivotal role in transforming the lives of these girls, their mental health is neglected is often times neglected.

Catwalk to Freedom wants to change that by building a trauma center in Juba South Sudan- Freedom House. We want to work with survivors of sexual violence to provide wholistic recovery from the trauma they have experienced and we need your help.

In order to complete phase one of Freedom House, we need $10,000 to secure the land, build a fence and finalize the design.

How can you help?

Donate to the campaign: Every dollar counts towards building the center.

Walk/Run to Freedom: The distance from Nairobi (where the founders of Catwalk to Freedom currently live) to Juba (Where the center will be located) is 702 miles. As we start the new year, consider joining our walk/run to Juba and help us raise $10,000 by February 28th. It will cost just $14.25 per mile to reach our goal!
